Although Co Giang Street is much quieter than Phạm Ngu Lao, Bui Vien and Đe Tham streets where bars, western restaurants and mini-marts shine the whole district, the street is still commonly chosen by many travellers who want to find something more ‘authentic’, more ‘Vietnamese’ existing in Saigon. The intersection of Co Giang and Đe Tham streets is the brightest area of the street especially in the evenings when bright fluorescent light bulbs illuminating streetside barbeques are turned on, colorful street dishes give off their scented cooking smoke in the air.
